Prayer for January and February

Heavenly Father,

 

I love you. 

 

There are times when I am overwhelmed by how much you love me.  Events and occasions in my life serve as milestones that impress deep within me just how great your love is toward me.  Thank you for these precious times.  Yet these milestones are sometimes few and far between.  Lord, you know that I long to walk by faith and to live in your truth.  I believe and put my trust in your promises.  Yet there is something that I realize I am longing for.  In the midst of life, my life, I long to hear your voice.  In my head I know that your Spirit lives within me but sometimes life is so loud that I neglect your voice.  Open my ears to hear you.  Open my eyes to see your hand at work.  What I'm asking, Lord, is that I long to sense your presence from day to day.  Help me to listen.  I choose to follow you.
