Vision and ValuesCHURCH PLANTING VISIONOur vision is to bring pleasure to God by using proactive, servant leadership to resource EFCA districts and churches to mobilize a church planting movement in the United States, where every EFCA church will become a reproducing church, and no EFCA church planter will be left alone. Our Seven Core Church Planting ValuesGreat Commission Balance: We value planting disciple making churches that develop an intentional pathway of winning the lost, building the believers, equipping the workers, and multiplying the leaders. Great Commandment Climate: We value planting healthy churches that create a Great Commandment climate of relevant worship and authentic community. This corporate climate allows the church to grow naturally. Church Planting: We value planting all kinds of churches to reach all kinds of people. We are not locked into any "one" model of church planting. Church Health: We value planting churches that develop healthy biblical foundations. We are not into planting churches for the sake of numbers. Nor are we interested in planting churches with a single focus. We expect our church plants to do an annual assessment of their church health using an instrument like the ten leading indicators. Go to church health web page. Church Growth: We value planting churches that will grow more and better disciples. Healthy churches will grow. We expect our church plants to break the 100 barrier by their first birthday, the 200 barrier by their second birthday, and the reproduction barrier by their third birthday. Church Multiplication: We value planting churches that multiply more and better churches. Mature churches will reproduce daughter and granddaughter churches. EFCA Churches: We value planting interdependent churches that will join other EFCA churches in our mission of multiplying healthy churches among all people. |
