ReachGlobal Africa Fund

Goal: Ongoing Fund
To date: $100,000.00

For over 85 years the EFCA has been sending missionaries to Africa. God is now doing an exciting work in giving the African church a heart for missions in Africa.

In April of 2007, EFCA ReachGlobal missionaries serving in Africa gathered with leaders from several of our African National Partner Church movements. During those days together the Lord began to lay on the hearts of the African church leaders their responsibility to reach Africa with the gospel. One of them shared, "It is our job as African Christians to reach Africa's unreached people." They heard and courageously accepted the call of God to raise up a generation of African church planting missionaries. 

In August of 2007 several of us met again with these African leaders to map out a plan and formulate a  missions strategy for what they are calling "ReachGlobal Africa." They chose leaders, set out a simple organizational structure, and determined the first three countries where they want to send missionaries. This year they plan to send small "scout teams" to check out locations in these countries and to begin training the missionaries who will go.

African EFC leaders have the vision and the commitment to send African missionaries to the millions of unreached people in Africa. However, they are lacking the financial resources to carry out the task.  $100,000 will be needed in the next year to launch this ministry and send out the first church planting teams.  Will you help to make this possible?

Africa National Leaders Fund

Goal: Ongoing Fund

This project is all about African leaders. One of the primary objectives is to facilitate the development of godly equipped leaders for the African church by providing scholarship funds enabling students to study at theological institutes or in non-formal education settings. The project also supports equipping initiatives led by ReachGlobal staff or national leaders. The project also seeks to help provide resources to key leaders in appropriate ways to carry out their ministries. This includes such things as providing seed funds to help launch new ministries, starting a business to support a leader and family, or occasionally providing financial resources to help enable mission movement mobilizers most effectively multiply leaders for the church in Africa.

National Missionary Initiative

Goal: Ongoing Fund

This project enables us to work with our African national partners in sending national missionaries out to do church planting in some of the least reached parts of Africa. There are many places where the most effective church planting can be done by African national missionaries.  Often there are no opportunities in the areas where these national church planting missionaries will be ministering that would allow them to be self-supporting during the early stages of their ministry. Currently, there are national church planting missionaries who are ready to be deployed, but they are lacking support and training. Funds from this project will be used to help support and train them as church planting missionaries.
