Student Candidate Program

STUDENT CANDIDATE PROGRAM

The three branches of the military have a Student Candidate Program for seminarians  interested in military chaplaincy.  Training in summer is available to candidates with full pay and allowances for their grade.  Some branches offer partial scholarships.  Currently there are approximately 30 Free Church students in this program.  This Candidate Program becomes a training platform and a feeder for the chaplain needs of our military forces.  If you are interested in this program, please contact Director, Chaplain Ministries. REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS APPLYING FOR CANDIDATE PROGRAM

1. Statement from Seminary indicating full time enrollment.

2. Completion and submission of Application Form provided by EFCA Chaplain Ministries with photo attached.

3. Statement of Testimony of Christian Conversion and overview of one's ministerial calling (One Page).

4. Statement regarding one's adherence to the 12 Faith Statements of the Evangelical Free Church.

5. A non-refundable fee of $100 with a completed Application (Endorsement Form).

6. A letter of reference and recommendation by an evangelical pastor.

7. Copies of transcripts indicating completion of undergraduate school.
