Vision & Values Our VisionTo encourage healthy people to grow healthy churches while reaching out into their communities. Our Values- Centrality of Gods Word The Health and Caring Ministry is based on the word and deed of Christ caring for the sick, the hurting and having compassion on all people. Matt 4:23, 24; 9:35, 36.
- Passionate Spirituality A major emphasis of this ministry is intercessory prayer for those in need or crisis, including prayer for healing. This spiritual support is the cornerstone of the Health and Caring ministry.
- Fruitful Evangelism In offering physical, emotional and spiritual support to a pre-believer in crisis or need can be the entrée to accepting Christ as their savior. Offering assistance to the needs of the whole person demonstrates our love and compassion for the pre-believer.
- Mission and Vision Driven A clear vision included in the mission of a church should address the needs of the whole person in order to reach the pre-believer for Christ and provide essential support to the believer.
- Leadership Development Men and women using their gifts of helping, mercy, and caring combined with basic leadership and organizational skills are encouraged to continue growing their leadership ability through on-going education and networking support groups.
- Church Planting Planting healthy churches with healthy people of diverse backgrounds who are able to address the needs of their communities help to provide a solid foundation of any new church plant.
- Financial Stewardship The Health and Caring Ministry may be the first line of contact for reaching the poor, disadvantaged and needy and directing them to appropriate resources.
- Intentional Disciplemaking Encouraging believers to use their spiritual gifts in caring for each other is part of the disciplemaking process loving one another.
- Loving Relationships What shows love better than caring for the felt needs of someone in crisis, or the concerns about a child or elderly parent, or to walk someone through the health care maze to get the help they need? These are practical acts of love within the church and community.
In short, we: - Encourage members to care for each other
- Promote healthy followers of Jesus Christ
- Nurture and support all age groups
- Cooperate and work with all other ministry groups
- Are a vehicle for reaching the community and drawing them into the church
